Meet The Team

Kate Etheridge 
(previously Kathy Bruno)
Director and Speech Pathologist

Kate has worked as a speech pathologist in Cairns since 2000, after graduating from the University of QLD.  She worked for the Department of Education in Cairns before commencing private practice in 2009. 

 

Kate thoroughly enjoys her work with children and loves seeing the successes achieved by  students.  She is committed to working within best practice guidelines and maintains her skill-set by regularly attending conferences, workshops and ongoing professional development.

Ainjali Wong
Speech Pathologist

Ainjali is a Cairns local who studied her Bachelor of Speech Pathology at the University of QLD.  She enjoys the challenge and the variety that private practice offers and loves getting to know the children and families who she works with. 

Ainjali is committed to extending her knowledge and is particularly interested in literacy and speech sound disorders.

Sam Quan
Speech Pathologist

Sam lives in Julatten and provides services in the Mossman, Julatten and Port Douglas areas, as well as the Redlynch clinic.  She graduated from James Cook University in 2014 where she received the JCU academic medal and membership to the Golden Key International Honour Society.

 

Sam enjoys working together with children and their families to facilitate a learning environment where children can feel at ease in therapy and motivated to achieve their speech-language goals. Her areas of interest include motor speech disorders and phonological delays.

Tylor Mollard
Occupational Therapist

Tylor made the move to Cairns from Perth in 2024, after graduating from Edith Cowen University and working in WA.

She is loving the Cairns lifestyle and plans to make this her permanent home.

Tylor enjoys working with families to enhance the lives of children, and is committed to providing therapies that are neurodiversity-affirming.

Annie Lyons
Allied Health Assistant

Annie lives on the Atherton Tablelands and provides speech therapy services to children in Atherton, Malanda, Mareeba, Ravenshoe and Tolga.  She has extensive experience working with children, as she has previously worked as an Early Childhood Assistant in Childcare Centres throughout the Tablelands. 

Annie's work is supervised by Kate Etheridge, who does the assessments and planning for the students.

Tom Hoskins
Allied Health Assistant

Tom is currently completing his Masters of Speech Pathology at Charles Darwin University, and provides speech therapy services in the Redlynch clinic as an Allied Health Assistant.

 

He has worked with children and young people in teaching, training and education roles since first graduating from a degree in  English, language and linguistics in the UK in 2001. Tom is particularly interested in furthering his expertise in childhood stuttering.

Tiarna Bruno
Receptionist

Tiarna enjoys meeting all of the families who come in to the practice.  She handles all of our enquiries, bookings, payments, service agreements and waitlist.

Oscar
Therapy Dog in Training

Oscar has recently joined our team as a therapy dog in training! He is a miniature poodle and is loving his role in the clinic.  Under Tiarna's guidance he will be progressing through regular puppy school and dog obedience training, as well as formal therapy dog training. 

 

Until Oscar completes his formal training his main role will be socialising, learning manners and getting to know everyone.
