Speech Plus Speech Pathology has an exciting opportunity for a full-time or part-time speech pathologist to join our private practice. We welcome all applications including new graduates and experienced clinicians.

 

About us

Speech Plus Speech Pathology has been operating in Cairns since 2010. We are located in the family-friendly suburb of Redlynch, in a modern building with all amenities.  We also have a clinic near Port Douglas.  We provide services to children of all ages, who present with varying challenges.  

A goal of the organisation is to support staff to develop new skills and to empower you to provide evidence-based intervention.  Support is available and professional development is provided.  You will be encouraged to seek out opportunities that will enable you to become the therapist that you want to be.  

Staff wellbeing at Speech Plus is valued and work-life balance prioritised.  We aim to provide a stress-free, friendly work environment.  Your diary won't be over-scheduled, allowing you time to plan, prepare and write notes.  Travel is not required, as all appointments are held at the Redlynch clinic, so there is no packing of, and living out of a car.

Our lovely receptionist does all of the bookings, invoicing, NDIS service agreements and even toy washing, keeping your mind and time focused on your all important work with the kids.     

The Position
  • Speech pathologist, based at the Redlynch clinic

  • Full-time position, however part-time can be arranged

  • Paediatric only, kids of all ages

  • Flexible work hours available

  • Diverse caseload to hone all of your skills and keep the job interesting

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology or higher

  • Blue Card for Working with Children

  • Certified Practising Speech Pathologist Status with Speech Pathology Australia

  • NDIS Worker Screening will be completed if not yet done

  • Eligibility to Obtain a Medicare Provider Number

  • Right to Work in Australia

  • Applications from new graduates are encouraged and new graduates will be supported in the role
