To assess and treat reading difficulties, we will look at phonological awareness skills, reading accuracy and reading comprehension.  We will check if your child can identify the sounds that letters make, if they can blend sounds together and whether they can apply rules to read words.  We will identify which specific areas of reading require treatment and then teach those using a systematic phonics approach.
